Nationally acclaimed American artist, Patrick Reid O’Brien has been creating art since age six. As the Great, Great, Great, Great Grandson of Thomas Ustick Walter, Architect of the US Capital, design and drawing were in his genes. Patrick graduated with honors from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a BA in Fine Arts and spent the next 15 years creating logos and merchandising designs for corporate clients like Pepsi and McDonald’s. In 2005 Patrick left the world of advertising to devote all his time to creating original art.
In 2009 Patrick’s art caught the eye of a close friend of Jimmy Buffett and he was asked to create art specifically depicting the lyrics of Buffett’s songs for the Margaritaville lifestyle brand. Like a Jimmy Buffett song, Patrick’s art connects with people and provides a little more happiness in their lives.
