Donna Geissler earned her BA in journalism at Indiana University. It was during her last semester there that she took an introductory course in black-and-white photography. This class introduced her to a life long passion. For more than 10 years photography served only as a hobby until she began experimenting with floral photography. Geissler explores the various shapes, movements and gestures that she finds most intriguing and captures them in her images. She uses only natural light to create the original image, and then adds finishing touches digitally. This technique yields soft, ethereal yet distinctive floral and still life images.
